So-called “designer dogs” are crosses between two different, carefully-selected breeds. One example is the Cavapoo, or Cavadoodle, a cross between a Poodle and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Weighing between six and twenty pounds, the Cavapoo is friendly, playful, and cute as a button.
A very affectionate and family-oriented dog, the Cavapoo is eager to spend time with its human companions, and can develop problems if left too much on its own. Inheriting high spirits from both sides of its breeding lines, this little charmer needs firm, patient, calm leadership. It’s a good idea to start socializing and training the pups at an early age. If you match up well with the Cavapoo, plan on daily walks and regular play sessions.
